ONTARIO - A female cab driver was arrested for impaired driving Monday night after police pulled over her vehicle.
Wellington OPP say they pulled over the cab as it travelled on Highway 6, north of Fergus around 9 p.m. After speaking with the driver, the officer determined she had been drinking and arrested her.
Christine Hancock, 41, of Fergus is due to appear in court next month.
Let me see. You're driving a cab as a livelihood, from which you make your living and feed yourself and perhaps your family. You're entrusted to deliver your patrons safely from point A to point B, many of whom choose to take a taxi because they themselves don't wish to drive impaired.
Considering all this, why would you jeopardize this and drive impaired?
Just sayin', Christine. - Peter
