Windsor man faces charges after impaired crash, chase

ONTARIO -
A 21-year-old Windsor man is facing impaired driving and joyriding charges after he allegedly struck two vehicles Saturday night.

Police said a red 2000 Ford Taurus failed to stop at a stop sign on Langlois Avenue at Tecumseh Road East at 10:35 p.m., striking two vehicles.

The driver fled on foot but was apprehended after a brief chase. One of the witnesses was an off-duty police officer.

The man faces charges for impaired driving, leaving the scene of an accident and taking a car without the owner’s consent.
