ONTARIO - A 23-year old Barrie man pleaded guilty in Collingwood's Ontario Court Oct. 20 to impaired driving, after breathalyzer reading showed he had over twice the legal limit of alcohol in his body.
Sean Oakes was fined $1,200 and prohibited from driving for a year.
Crown attorney Dean Ring said that at about 10:30 p.m. on June 28, 2009, OPP officers noted the accused as he sped through an amber light at Hurontario and Hume Streets in Collingwood, then did a rolling stop another intersection.
When he was pulled over, police noted an odour of alcohol on his breath. Oakes said only that he had "a drink before dinner." However, his lowest breathalyzer reading proved to be 190 mg per cent that night.
"The reading is awful high," said Roland Justice Harris adding: "It's statutorily aggravating at 30 mg less than this."

Sounds like one drink all right. From one really big keg.
